The exact allocation of duties between the two would be a matter for consideration. The Senior District Officer and his staff might then be abolished.
In the opinion of the Acting Commissioner the Police might then be reduced to a strength of 2 Sergearb 2 Corporals and 25 Constables and the services of three detectives might be dispensed with. Four sub-warders and other minor officials could also be abolished and other
economies could be effected.
